Barstool Podcast Host Says Washington Post Reached Out for Comment on Trump Interview — Records Himself Passing Gas in Response

In response to The Washington Post asking for a comment regarding a recent interview with Donald Trump , ex-NFL player Will Compton recording himself farting.

Compton — who hosts the Barstool Sports podcast Bussin’ With The Boys with fellow NFL alumnus Taylor Lewan — recently had a sit-down interview with the former president . At one point in the conversation, Trump revealed that he stopped playing football because he didn’t like being tackled “some guy” that was “lifting weights all day long and came from a bad neighborhood.”

Although Compton and Lewan simply laughed it off, some viewed the comment at racist. The social media account for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign even reposted it.

For its own reporting, The Washington Post reached out to Compton to asked why he and his co-host laughed at Trump’s comment. Instead of responding to them directly, he posted a video online explaining the situation:

Their question is, “Why did we find that amusing?” And you already know what they want to do with this thing. You wanna know what kind of picture they want to paint. You wanna know what kind of box they want to put us in. You know their vision for this entire question on asking that.

Number one, I thought it was funny because Trump is sitting there admitting that he is not built for the A gap, nor is he a tight end that was built for catching a slant over the middle only to get his vertebrae — his L4 and L5 — compressed by a middle linebacker that probably goes on to play in Nebraska, and arguably 10 years in the NFL.

But just knowing that you know the direction they want to go with this thing as they write whatever article that they’re trying to write; and they asked if Will or Taylor would provide a comment on why we found that amusing. So, I’m thinking to myself, well, I will just — I’ll publicly tell you guys my comment. So, Washington Post, here’s my comment about why I thought it was amusing.
