While Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift appeared to have a great time attending the New York Yankees playoff game on Monday, Oct. 14, the football player revealed that he had some "mixed feelings" about the date.
Travis opened up about the experience on the newest episode of his podcast New Heights , which he hosts with his older brother Jason . While recounting the game, the younger Kelce brother noted that he felt like an outsider because he was cheering for the opposing team, the Cleveland Guardians.
"Iâm in hostile territory cause itâs the Bronx Bombers and Iâm at Yankee Stadium and the playoffs, and Iâm over here cheering for the Guards cause Iâm a Cleveland kid and I want to see Cleveland win a f---ing World Series," he said.
Travis added, "It was mixed feelings because I was there trying to have some fun with Tay and everybody...even though the Guards couldnât pull it off, it was still an exciting game."
Despite his team losing to the Yankees with a score of three to six, he didn't hold it against the New York baseball team and their fans, adding, "It was cool to see Yankee Stadium because I always wanted to see that thing in person, in a playoff game, in a hostile environment and it didnât disappoint, man. The Yankees, the fans, the players, everybody involved, man, it was awesome."
While talking about the baseball game, Travis also complimented some of the Yankees players for their skills and spoke about the "intensity" of a playoff game.
Travis and Swift seemed to enjoy watching the game together, with plenty of PDA-filled moments throughout the date . Fans went wild over their sweet couple interactions, and they'd likely love to see the two attend more playoff games in the future.
