This was the 10th consecutive year of population decline for the Land of Lincoln.</p><p>But while the population is dropping and people are leaving, there must be enough people moving in and around the state because the homes are selling!</p><h2>Illinois is the 6th Fastest State To Sell A House</h2><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=1i7Nbi_0w9LxFig00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1i7Nbi_0w9LxFig00" width="980" height="653" ><figcaption>Shutterstock</figcaption></figure><p>A new study from <a href="https://socalhomebuyers.com/">SoCal Home Buyers</a> reveals, that despite the challenges faced by the real estate industry in a post-pandemic economy homes in some states are selling fast.</p><p>According to the National Association of Realtors, existing home sales in June tumbled by as much as 5.4 percent, with the median sales price increasing to the highest ever recorded.</p><p>"Real estate is all about timing. In markets where homes sell quickly, being prepared and acting fast can lead to significant gains. Conversely, in slower markets, it's important to have a strategy in place to navigate the longer sales cycles," property investment expert Doug Van Soest, from SoCal Home Buyers, says. </p><h2>The Top 10 States With The Fastest Average Time To Sell</h2><ol><li>Rhode Island - 54 days</li><li>Connecticut - 57 days</li><li>New Hampshire - 59 days</li><li>Massachusetts - 60 days</li><li>New Jersey - 63 days</li><li><b>Illinois - 64 days</b></li><li>Ohio - 64 days</li><li>Washington - 64 days</li><li>Maryland - 65 days</li><li>Minnesota - 65 days</li></ol><p>For those looking to leave the state, you should be able to do it quickly. For those just looking to move in the state you should be able to do that quickly.
