Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell’s sister posted a video on YouTube over the summer making several unsubstantiated allegations against Perry and his wife Etty, calling her ‘Yoko Ono.’ She alleges that her attempts to contact Perry have been intercepted for years, and that she doesn’t want his money.

“Shame on Perry for believing that our family would ever behave in the way Etty is sharing. Perry is the one sibling out of 5 that I was closest to. The older siblings I was never close with. They were much older than me. They told Perry lies about his real mother who passed when Perry was 2.

It is unimanigable having lost his mother at either age. My mom, his step mom, was not a nice person. She , even being my real mother, was self centered and really wanted nothing to do with being a mother. We all lost my sister Ina when I was 3 1/2 and she was 4 1/2 and that ripped my heart out. Perry and I were VERY close, I was even a witness at his wedding to Etty. At that time there was not a lot going on with music and money.”

She later said, “Everyone on the Lolla tour calls her Yoko Ono, because they all know what she is about. Either way I know Perry had a tough childhood as did I, because my sister died when I was 3 1/2 and my mother treated me crappy. My life growing up was rough. As soon as I could, I moved from Florida back to NYC to live in sanity.”

Perry’s sister concluded with, “She is another Courtney love, HE IS ALL MINE!!!!”

Perry Farrell was close with late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. Late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins son, Shane Hawkins, has been nominated in Modern Drummer’s Readers Poll for best up and coming drummer.

It has been almost a couple of years since Taylor Hawkins’ son Shane performed at Wembley Stadium to honor his father, joining the Foo Fighters for a performance of “My Hero” at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert.

In June, the 17-year-old, who has been regularly performing with his father’s covers band, Chevy Metal, joined the Foo Fighters at the band’s consecutive London Stadium shows to play the drums.

During the first show, Shane, who recently made his modeling debut, played on Josh Freese’s impressive double-bass drum DW kit for an energetic rendition of “I’ll Stick Around,” which is featured on Foo Fighters’ debut album. This album is notable for featuring Dave Grohl playing every instrument on all but one song.

“Hi Shane, thank you for waiting three hours to come play drums with us” Dave Grohl announced as he introduced him, adding “We particularly like it when he plays this song. It’s called…I’ll Stick Around”, as Shane launches into the machine-gun 16th-note snare intro.

He played the drums with great skill and style, displaying body language and mannerisms that were at times remarkably similar to his dad’s. He also showed a strong influence from the former Nirvana drummer as he played through the song’s challenging groove and fills around the drum kit.

Many fans were impressed by his first performance and said that Hawkins Jr. is capable of taking on his father’s role full-time. Shane returned for Saturday’s performance, playing the song that has become his own tribute to his late father.
