Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) took the high road in response to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claiming Democrats created hurricanes to send to red states.

The southeastern United States was ravaged by multiple severe hurricanes in recent weeks. In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene — which killed more than 200 people — Greene insisted in a tweet that “they can control the weather.” She went on to claim that hurricanes were deliberately sent to red states to kill Republicans voters. Despite a wave of backlash coming from everyone from between President Joe Biden to North Carolina Republicans, Greene continued pushing the baseless theories for days.

On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Warnock simply said he prays for his fellow Georgian elected official:

KIMMEL: Now, Marjorie Taylor Greene, I know, is also from Georgia. Did you apologize on behalf of Democrats for sending the hurricane to your own state? Because it seems like a very self-destructive thing for you and the Democratic Party to do.

WARNOCK: I pray for her every day.

KIMMEL: Do you really pray for her specifically every day?

    WARNOCK: I do.

KIMMEL: How long’s the list? Like, is it a short list that she’s on?

WARNOCK: Look, she’s a congressperson from our state, and representing people is no small thing. I consider it the honor of my life. For the people of your state to say that, “As we take stock of our lives, as we look into the eyes of our children, think about what we want for them; as we see our aging parents as they deal with both the blessings and the burdens of getting older, we’re going to send you to Washington and we’re going to trust that in rooms of power where deals are cut, that at the end of the day, you’re going to be thinking about us,” that’s a sacred trust. It’s the honor of my life and I’m honored to do it on behalf of the people of Georgia.

Marjorie Taylor Green, I don't know what school or college you graduate from but the only person who can and will control the weather and what's happening in this temporary world we are living in today is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our Father God and His Holy Spirit, because He created everything and everyone and maybe if you would take a little bit of time and read the Holy Bible and Scriptures you would be able to understand that and who is in control of everything and everyone and the world!! Revelation is a good place to start!!🙏🙏
