21-Year-Old Shoots Himself Inside AutoZone: Allentown Police

Officers responded to the store located at 2919 Lehigh Street after receiving a report of a shot fired inside the building on Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Allentown Police Department said.

When the officers arrived on scene they learned that the man had accidentally shot himself, according to police.

The man was taken to a local hospital by Allentown EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to survive, police said.

This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public, according to police.
