Tyler Herro Stops Mid-Interview To Watch A Couple Green-Haired Dudes Brawl In The Stands At Miami Heat Preseason Game

The NBA preseason isn't where you'd expect quarreling fans to get into a full-blown fight, since the stakes are so low. I guess Miami Heat supporters are built different. Perhaps taking that hard-nosed #HEATCulture too literally, or just failing to check their emotions like mature adults, several fans went at it once the Heat's exhibition game against Victor Wembanyama's Spurs ended. Before I reveal the impassioned mini-brawl that took place, look at how Heat guard Tyler Herro couldn't even finish his postgame interview without acknowledging the shenanigans in the stands: https://twitter.com/BallyHEAT/status/1846371923212824961 Sometimes when it comes to fans fighting at live sporting events , we only have one angle, or a mere snapshot of the aftermath where the worst of it isn't captured on a smartphone. In this instance, Herro wasn't the only one to notice the excessive aggression and violence. At least distinct angles on this dust-up, baby! https://twitter.com/HeatvsHaters/status/1846410937659433315 https://twitter.com/jyezbickk/status/1846539093796167777 https://twitter.com/ONLYinDADE/status/1846420897030156788 This is the type of camera coverage a filmmaker dreams of. We've got our wide/master shot, a happy medium, and a more intense close-up to really see the damage. It's basically two dudes against another guy whose girlfriend or sister or some type of female ally is behind him dishing out defense. We have another apparent bystander giving about 37.5% effort trying to break it all up to no avail. I don't know whether to be impressed or disheartened that all these guys are on their feet this long. Not that I'm expecting a professional pugilist's precision on punch percentage, but we gotta land more of these strikes, fellas. End this thing quick. Don't let it drag on for more than a minute to where everyone in the Heat's Kaseya Center home arena has time to pull out their phones and catch a good chunk of your altercation. Security finally intervened to cuff 'em. The fuzz probably couldn't stand to look on much longer given the quality of the fight and lack of decisive blows. We all know the universal takeaway: Don't fight at sporting events. But this is somehow even worse than that evergreen rule to abide by. Imagine getting banned for life from an arena for throwing down at a
preseason game . Also, if you'd just taken this out to the parking lot, or agreed to meet at another undisclosed location to settle your differences afterwards, there's far less of a chance you'd be arrested, have your fight shotgunned all over social media, and get your life essentially ruined. Oh well. Could be worse. A second location doesn't guarantee "success" either. Just ask that horrendous Ravens fan who sucker punched Commanders fans in the street.
