Buffalo Bills seemingly have Tyler Bass' replacement in sight

The Buffalo Bills are 4-2 after defeating the New York Jets, and just added wide receiver Amari Cooper via a trade with the Cleveland Browns. With that in mind, the Bills may not be done making roster moves.

Kicker Tyler Bass has been largely inconsistent over the last year. He missed five field goals in 2023, and missed the game-tying field goal in the divisional round of the playoffs that led to the Bills being eliminated once again by the Kansas City Chiefs. Bass has missed two field goals and two extra points this season, including a comically bad kick against the Jets that caused Joe Buck to roast him in the booth, saying he's seen better kicks on College Gameday . The Bills seem to realize the struggles at kicker could hold them back in the playoffs once again, and have brought in a notable kicker for a workout.

Buffalo has brought in Harrison Mevis , an undrafted free agent out of Missouri. The man they call "The thiccer kicker" went 24-of-30 in field goals in 2023, and he holds the SEC record for the longest field goal with a 61-yarder to his name.

The fact that the Bills are looking at kickers puts the writing on the wall for Bass. It feels like a matter of when, not if he gets cut.
