Alison Sweeney Previews Her Romantic New Christmas Movie!

Halloween hasn’t even happened yet, but Hallmark is getting ready to kick off its season of holiday movies — and Days of Our Lives star Alison Sweeney (Sami) will be starring in the very first one to air on the Hallmark Mystery channel! Alongside fellow Hallmark regular Niall Matter, Sweeney will headline This Time Each Year, which will mark the start of the network’s “Miracles of Christmas” event.

“Wow! My first time getting to work with Niall and we are first up for this season’s Hallmark Mystery’s Miracle of Christmas!” Sweeney cheered on Instagram. “We are so excited to launch everyone into the Christmas spirit with this special film directed by Crystal Lowe.”

Once happily married, Lauren and Kevin separated a year ago and now focus on co-parenting their young son, Charlie — even though Kevin wants them to be a whole family again. When Lauren’s mom suddenly comes to town, she asks Kevin to pretend they’re still together since she hasn’t yet told her mom they’ve separated! However, the ruse quickly feels more real than pretend, stirring up old memories and feelings. As Lauren sees Kevin in a new light, perhaps the magic of Christmas will rekindle their romance and spark renewed hope for their future!
