Steph Curry "we won a championship because of him"

Last season was definitely a down year based on the standard Andrew Wiggins has set throughout his time in the NBA. He posted career lows in points, assists, and steals while playing under 30 minutes per game for the first time in ten years, making him a prime candidate to bounce back.

His lack of production was likely due to health and personal matters Wiggins was dealing with away from the team. He is still not even 30 years old, making a dramatic drop-off highly doubtful.

"I am excited for him to kind of show people again who he is. I think he is really motivated; he has been through a lot, and basketball can be a nice release for that," said Stephen Curry .

The Golden State Warriors are searching for something this season as Curry is now another year older, and Klay Thompson left for the Dallas Mavericks . Curry thinks Wiggins, a player that has been with the team for a while now, could be the answer.

"We won a championship with him because of him. There is no fitting in for him; it is just allowing him to get back to being healthy playing, being available on a nightly basis because we know what he is capable of," said Curry .

Wiggins was huge for Golden State during their 2022 championship run. He made the all-star team that season and averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds during the playoffs. If he can get back to his former self, Wiggins is more than capable of being a highly effective option in the Warriors offense this year.
