Angel Reese had social media in a flurry on Wednesday afternoon.

The Sky supernova enjoyed a wondrous rookie campaign in the Windy City, leading the league in rebounding en route to a second-place Rookie of the Year finish. She was one of the few bright spots — alongside Chennedy Carter and Kamilla Cardoso — in what was a gloomy Sky season on the whole.

Reese's historic season garnered plenty of intrigue. That wasn't necessarily reflected in her contract, though.

Reese took to social media to offer some insight into the value of her rookie deal — namely, how it compares to the cost of her rent.

Reese revealed that she was shelling out around $8,000 a month while playing for the Sky. Here's how that total compares to her annual salary.

How much does Angel Reese make?

After being selected seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese inked a four-year, $324,383 deal with the Sky, according to Spotrac . She received $73,439 across her maiden season in Chicago and will see her salary increase ever so slightly (to $74,909) in 2025. The final year of Reese's contract features a team option, so she'll have to keep performing at a high level to ensure she remains on the roster.

Rookie contracts operate on a sliding scale, with those selected among the first four picks receiving four-year contracts worth $338,056. Those taken in the next four picks landed $324,383 deals while players who were selected in the final four picks of the first round inked $310,718 contracts. Second and third-rounders fielded offers of $297,045 and $276,830, respectively.

    Angel Reese net worth

Reese's net worth is valued at $1.5 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Despite her fairly paltry salary (by major American sports standards), Reese has found additional ways to earn herself some coin, cultivating a wildly successful podcast and inking a handful of big-money endorsement deals.

    Angel Reese endorsement deals

Reese has snagged her fair share of endorsement opportunities throughout her college and professional career. Reese can count Beats by Dre, Goldman Sachs, Topps, and Hershey's as some of her business partners. She agreed to a multi-year deal with Reebok in August, becoming the shoe brand's first-ever women's basketball representative. There are whispers that Reese could receive a signature shoe in the not-so-distant future.

It's safe to say Reese isn't in a particularly precarious financial position at the moment. As long as her play continues to flourish, that should be the case going forward, too.
