Brantley Gilbert Of Wife Amber: 'She’s The Rockstar To Me'

Brantley Gilbert hailed his wife a “rockstar” in the latest episode of Like a Farmer .

Gilbert and his wife, Amber Cochran Gilbert , got married in June 2015. Since then, they’ve welcomed three children together: son Barrett Hardy-Clay , 6, daughter Braylen Hendrix , 5, and newborn son Abram Howell Gilbert , who arrived on October 11. Gilbert said when he announced his son’s birth — during what “might have been the craziest night of my life,” when he was pulled off stage for an emergency and Amber delivered Baby No. 3 on the tour bus — that his wife is “a freaking savage.”

The “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” artist spoke about his wife during a conversation on the Like a Farmer podcast. Gilbert spoke about Amber’s passion for teaching and her decision to found a school called the Arc Learning Academy. Amber announced ARC in June 2023.

“She started a school last year,” Gilbert said on Like a Farmer . “She wanted to create a school and an environment where kids are learning what we feel like is important to learn. She’s been completely selfless about it, man. She blows my mind on a daily basis. And to be walking around as pregnant as she is right now and still killing it at the school, it’s been crazy to watch. My life’s pretty crazy, but I look at what she’s doing. Man, I’m her biggest fan. She’s the rockstar to me.”

Amber said when she announced ARC last year that she’d “wrestled with the idea of a school” since son Barrett was born. She said the school became “more than dream, but a reality.”

Amber joined her husband on Fox and Friends days after giving birth to Baby No. 3, speaking about Abram Howell’s unexpected arrival during a show. Gilbert said he “can’t say this was on my bingo card,” and “we thought we had a week or so left,” until his son’s arrival. Amber said her eldest two children “are obsessed with him. They love him.”

“ So last night might have been the craziest night of my life ,” Gilbert wrote in his Instagram caption when he announced Baby No. 3’s birth on Saturday (October 12). “Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget. Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”
