(WCHS) — After a devastating fire spread to two homes in Barbourville Monday morning, the two families were left with nothing, so a few businesses and dozens of community members decided to step up."I'd say probably 60-70 bags full of clothing," Bobby Baldridge of All Season Power Sportssaid.Baldridge said the business put out the call to help the families recover from the fire and a day and a half later, the corner of their business is full of things like clothes, shoes and even stuffed animals and toys."You never know what is going to happen with things like that but the heartwarming thing with the community is they come out and absolutely just took control of this thing," he said.The thoughtfulness of the community is certainly not going without notice. Lance Jefferson, who lost everything in the fire, said the the support is overwhelming."Honestly I don't know how to comprehend it at the moment. It's just surreal," Jefferson said.He said his family is still trying to process what has happened. As they ride the emotional roller coaster during the process, seeing the outpouring from the community helps."It's been a lot easier with the support of the community and everybody reaching out," Jefferson said. "That's something. There is no shortage of clothes, food, any type of support we have been getting from every angle and it has been amazing."However, community isn't done just yet. Organizers said at this point money or gift cards would be ideal because families could buy specifically what they need but those affected are just thankful for the support."Even just a prayer or a thought. Anything helps. We are thankful for anything we get and everything we get," said Jefferson.The fire was reported just after 11:30 a.m., and while the two families escaped unharmed, several pets died.While some believe the cause of the fire to be electrical but it ultimately was ruled as undetermined.</div></body>
