CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave the latest update on Clemson wide receiver Bryant Wesco following Wednesday’s practice at the Allen Reeves Football Complex.

Wesco did not play in the 10th-ranked Tigers win over Wake Forest last week after being banged up in the Florida State game on Oct. 5.

Swinney updated the status for the freshman as the Tigers get set to host Virginia on Saturday (noon, ACCN) at Memorial Stadium.

“He has been out there (at practice) every day. Same thing, he’s day-to-day,” Swinney said. “He is a little better each day.”

Before getting hurt at FSU, Wesco caught four passes for 24 yards. On the year, he has hauled in 11 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns. He is averaging 23.8 yards per catch.

The Wake Forest game was the first game Wesco has missed this season.
