Wintry Conditions Expected Over Cascade Passes as Cold Front Brings Cool Down to Inland Northwest

SPOKANE, WA – The Inland Northwest is set to experience cooler temperatures and wintry conditions over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service. A cold front moving through the region will bring breezy winds and scattered showers through Thursday, with mountain snow expected in the Cascades, particularly over Stevens Pass and Washington Pass.

The Puget Sound Convergence Zone is forecast to bring rain and snow to the Cascade passes this evening, with snow accumulation expected between 2-4 inches at higher elevations. Stevens Pass may see up to 1-2 inches of snow, while Washington Pass could experience slushy roads overnight. Snowfall is expected to taper off by Thursday morning.

Breezy winds are also anticipated, with gusts up to 35 mph in parts of eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Temperatures will dip to the 20s and 30s by Friday morning, leading to chilly conditions across the region, followed by seasonably cool weather and light precipitation into the weekend.
