A silly Cockatoo was ready to make the day memorable and decided to "cause chaos" while making the cutest "evil giggles."

On October 7, 2024, TikTok user Bandit the Cockatoo shared a throwback video from a year before when the silly Cockatoo made memories for everyone. Take a look!

In the throwback clip , Bandit's parents shared a nearly three-minute video of the silly bird's antics on October 6, 2023, a year before.

"Chicken on a mission to cause chaos," the text on the video reads as we meet the Cockatoo named Bandit .

And that's exactly what it sounds like this silly bird is doing. He was running back and forth on the couch, yelling all sorts of things before deciding to dangle on the leather couch, run around the floor, grab Dad's shoes, and evil giggle through it all.

He didn't want to "sit down and be nice" like his mom asked him, who said in the clip that he was "wound up" and causing trouble all day.

"Who gave you sugar? Or drugs?" Mom joked as Bandit continued to run around on the couch and refused to stay still.

When Mom grabbed him to try to convince him to "calm down," he would take a "nibble" at her arms.

"Now you be good," she asked before he took off on the floor to run around and attack his mom's and dad's shoes.

When Mom told Bandit that he would likely need to return to his cage to help him calm down, he didn't skip a beat.

"You've got to settle it down," she tells him. Let's go back to our cage and take a nap. Sit down, and I'll get you a peanut. Hold on," she tells her sweet Cockatoo.

His mom gave him the peanut, but Bandit wasn't ready to calm down for the day. Instead, he took the peanut and threw it.

"Be nice," Mom pleaded with Bandit, handing him another peanut, which he ate instead of throwing on the floor.

In the comment section, viewers either gave tips to the bird parents on tricks they've found to help their Cockatoos calm down or giggled at the bird's antics and the memories he created in the process.

How to Help Your Cockatoo Calm Down

It's so much fun to have a bird or other pet who knows how to have fun and make the days memorable. But sometimes our pets can be wound up too much, and having them calm down may be necessary.

According to BirdSupplies , calming your bird down is easier to do with positive reinforcement.

"Positive reinforcement is the best way to communicate with your bird, and it's one of the quickest and most reliable ways to turn around misbehavior," they explain. "Most birds will bend over backward for positive attention."

The site explains that birds like this Cockatoo are "naturally boisterous," and responding to them may accidentally reinforce that behavior.

"When you're trying to calm your parrot down, make it a special point to always generously reward desired, calm behavior," they explain. "Toss a treat in his dish as a reward. Or, stop and talk to your bird, whistle and dance with it."
