Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, addressed recent rumors about himself just days before his death. The pop sensation was vacationing in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel.

Liam, who shot to fame in 2011 after appearing on The X Factor and being placed in a band by Simon Cowell alongside Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan, was known for being one fifth of the mega-band.

Emergency services including police, firefighters, and ambulances were spotted outside the hotel following the incident. It's reported that police were called to the scene due to reports of a man acting aggressively at the hotel, possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A body was discovered in an internal patio of the hotel after the hotel manager alerted the police. It's believed that Liam fell approximately 13 or 14 meters, sustaining "very serious injuries incompatible with life."

The local ambulance manager released a statement to TN, saying: "At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation," reports the Mirror .

The musician, who was vacationing in Argentina, had been delighting fans on TikTok and Snapchat with his recent adventures with his girlfriend. However, rumors about him and a close friend had been circulating.

Over the past few months, Payne, 31, has been globetrotting while also hinting at new music for his fans. His latest release, Teardrops, didn't chart, but it's expected to be included in his upcoming album, which he recently teased – although he didn't specify when it would be released.

Over the summer, Liam was seen holding hands with Argentinian man Roger Nores, a close friend, as they left a bar with their group of friends, sparking fan speculation on social media. Roger had been accompanying Liam in the studio, and the two were noted for spending significant time together.

Despite local media reports suggesting more than friendship, Liam clarified: "There was a lot of things in magazines saying me and Roger are gay together – not true, unfortunately."

The Polaroid singer added humorously: "Although, if I was, I might go for him, who knows."

He continued to set the record straight: "But I'm not, so I won't and he's not – so I know he won't, either. That clears that up! " While Liam has put an end to the rumors, he's caused another stir among fans by announcing his attendance at Niall Horan's concert in Argentina, following in the footsteps of their former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, who also showed up at one of Niall's gigs at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester.

"We're going to Argentina to see Nialler," Liam told fans. He elaborated: "We're going to Argentina. One, because we have to, and two, because we want to, and three, because Niall Horan's playing down there and I think we might just go and say 'Hello'. No bad vibes or nothing like that, but just, we need to talk."
