The Dallas Cowboys have not lived up to expectations so far this season. They could look to make a trade to get back on track.

While listing players the Cleveland Browns should trade and who should be interested, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox urged the Cowboys to acquire Za'Darius Smith.

"Za’Darius Smith was a great addition to the Browns when he arrived last season. He had 5.5 sacks last year and has three already this season," wrote Wilcox. "He hasn’t been bad playing opposite of Myles Garrett which means he could have a good return."

The Brown signed Smith to a two-year, $23 million deal to return to the Browns in 2024. He won't be a free agent until after next season.

The Browns' trade of Cooper to the Buffalo Bills is an indication that they may not be looking to contend this year. The Cowboys could get Smith for cheap and give their defense a boost.

Smith is a three-time Pro Bowler, although he has not been selected since 2022. He has 63 career sacks and could improve the Cowboys' pass rush.

"Smith would most likely be heading to a contender that needs either depth or a good second pass rusher," wrote Wilcox.

Wilcox continued that it should not be hard for the Browns to offload Smith. The Cowboys are 3-3 and the Washington Commanders look like the team to beat in the division. Jerry Jones could look to make a few trades to get back on track.
