Men’s soccer teams from Barton College and Lees-McRae College played Wednesday’s NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas game, Oct. 16, at Bulldogs Athletic Complex about as evenly as they could.
Each team scored a second-half goal in the 1-1 draw that left Barton 6-2-1 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play while the Bobcats departed 3-3-4 and 2-2-2, respectively.
Barton junior forward Tommy Migliarotti took a pass from sophomore defender Kai Thurston less than five minutes into the second half and buried the shot for a 1-0 lead. Lees-McRae got the equalizer at the 53:59 mark on a header by Noah Daragmeh.
Each team took 16 shots while Barton goalkeeper Steingrimur Gunnarsson and LMC keeper Jonathan Kienle each made five saves.
Barton is off until next Wednesday, Oct. 23, when it hosts Francis Marion in a league clash.
