    Excellent. You have a well-studied human analogue available to adapt. Tube feeding for hydration and nutrition. Look at regimens for infants and the elderly for best fit. We saw that malnutrition in the ICU fostered ‘leaky bowel syndrome’ with increased pneumonia, sepsis, and multiple organ failure. It was a tough sell for surgeons wanting to ‘rest the bowel’ after resections and such.
