    Ohio State Men’s Hockey Hopeful as 2024-25 Begins

    The Ohio State Men’s Hockey team has just begun their season (October 6), and they are hopeful for it, despite starting 1-0-1 in their first games. The OSU Men’s Hockey team beat Niagra in Columbus, Ohio, overtime 3-2 in an exhibition game. They got a win and a ‘loser point’ in two games against American International College, finishing the first game in a shootout and winning the second game 5-2. They are hopeful of taking it all the way and winning the NCAA Frozen Four, in March.

    Ohio State Men’s Hockey 2024-25 Roster

    There are twenty-eight players on the Ohio State Men’s hockey roster. They are coached by Steve Rohlik, who is in his twelfth season as OSU Men’s Hockey coach. Here they are, in number order: Logan Terness is a senior goaltender, Chris Able is a freshman defender, John Larkin is a junior defenseman, Chris Romaine is a freshman defender, Brent Johnson is a senior defender, and Nathan McBrayer is a senior defenseman.

    Makenna Webster is a graduate student and forward who also plays on the ice hockey team. Ava Hershberger is a freshman and a back, Olivia Wallace is a junior forward, Lindsey Roberts is a junior forward, Sarah Richards is a graduate student and a back, MaKayla Carahaly is a junior forward, Riley Hudson is a junior midfielder and forward, Erin Little is a senior back, Philippa Schipper is a freshman back, Hallie Brost is a senior forward, Victoria Kutz is a freshman midfielder and back, and Cameryn Forgash is a senior midfielder and forward.

    Riley Thompson is a sophomore forward, Thomas Weis is also a sophomore forward, Jake Rozzi is a freshman forward,
    Caden Brown is a senior forward, Gunnarwolfe Fontaine is also a senior forward, Noah Powell is a freshman forward, Max Montes is a sophomore forward, James Hong is a senior forward, Aiden Hansen-Bukata is a graduate student and defenseman, Joe Dunlap is a graduate student and a forward, Davis Burnside is a junior forward, Sam Deckhut is a sophomore forward, Dylan Godbout is a freshman forward, and William Smith is a sophomore defenseman.

    Ryan Gordon is a sophomore forward, Reilly Herbst is a senior goaltender, Theo Wallberg is a sophomore defender, Kristoffer Eberly is a sophomore goaltender, Nathan Lewis is a freshman forward, Patrick Guzzo is a graduate student forward, Jake Dunlap is a junior forward, and Damien Carfagna is a junior defenseman.

    The Men’s Hockey Team has a large and deep roster. Whatever they do this year, they are likely to do next year. The Big Ten conference is usually difficult.

    Hockey Schedule For Season

    The OSU Men’s Hockey team is 1-0-1 in this young year and plays Wisconsin next on October 18th. The OSU Men’s Hockey team plays all games on the regular season schedule in back-to-back fashion. The Ohio State Men’s Hockey team plays those back-to-back games in a home-at-home fashion. That means that the Ohio State Men’s Hockey team plays either two games at home or two games on the road against the same opponent.

    Ohio State Men’s Hockey plays thirty-five regular season games. Then OSU Men’s Hockey plays in the Big Ten Conference tournament and the NCAA tournament.
