    Key Takeaways

    • Meat matters! Use high-quality ribeye for ultimate tenderness.
    • Season smart. A killer spice blend elevates the beef to steakhouse status.
    • Sear it right! High heat and a hot grill give you that signature steakhouse crust.
    • Rest your steak. Patience pays off; resting your steak locks in the juices.

    Ingredients

    • 4 boneless ribeye steaks (1 inch thick)
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 2 tablespoons salt
    • 2 tablespoons black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons paprika
    • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
    • 1 tablespoon onion powder
    • 1 tablespoon chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • ½ tablespoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice lovers!)

    Directions

    1. Get the Steaks Ready:

Pull your steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before you plan to cook. Room temperature steaks cook evenly and taste better. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove any moisture — this helps you get that nice crust we’re aiming for.

    2. Make the Magic Seasoning:

In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper. Generously rub the seasoning blend on both sides of each steak. Don’t be shy here — we want flavor!

    3. Preheat That Grill:

Heat your grill to high (around 450-500°F or 232-260°C). You need the grill hot enough to sear those steaks beautifully.

    4. Grill Time!

Brush the steaks lightly with vegetable oil to avoid sticking. Throw them on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for a perfect medium-rare. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature — we’re aiming for 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. If you like your steak cooked differently, adjust accordingly.

    5. Let 'Em Rest:

Once done, let the steaks rest for about 5-10 minutes. This part is crucial, folks. It lets the juices redistribute so every bite is tender and delicious. Slice against the grain, serve, and prepare for applause.

    Side Dish Ideas

Because no steak is complete without some tasty sides, here are a few options that'll take your meal to the next level:

    • Loaded Baked Potatoes: Creamy, cheesy, and topped with all the bacon bits.
    • Seasoned Rice: Light, flavorful rice that balances the richness of the steak.
    • Crispy Garden Salad: A fresh, crisp salad with a tangy vinaigrette cuts through the savory richness perfectly.
    • Grilled Corn on the Cob: Sweet and smoky with a hint of char — it’s a match made in grill heaven.

Well, I do agree that Texas Roadhouse was probably one of the better steaks I’ve eaten compared to any other steakhouse that I’ve been to what would call the budget place to go to the one thing I have noticed the last two times that we have gone there is the steaks are seasoned I generally tell them to go lightly with salt and pepper and grill. That’s pretty much the same way at home with butter.. The prices have risen will last year along with the meat like everybody else has but I would be different on the actual weight of the steak that you buy for Texas roadhouse it seems pretty much a lean 8 ounce 12 oz. I’d bet more like 6.5 to 7 certainly not what is ordered. Little practice and you can make the same at home! ❤️ Post office
