In the latest The Young and the Restless, Summer could find herself drawn into a dangerous situation as she becomes determined to clear her brother Daniel’s name.
After Chance reveals the incriminating evidence against Daniel, Summer is sure to be alarmed and refuses to believe that her brother could be responsible for Heather's tragic death.
With Daniel in emotional turmoil and facing serious charges, Summer may take matters into her own hands to uncover the truth.
Summer Takes Matters into Her Own Hands
Summer can get quite driven to conduct her own research. Summer will undoubtedly worry about the worst once Chance informs her of the damning evidence against Daniel. Daniel is already in enough pain from the abrupt and horrifying loss of Heather.
Daniel has been showing signs of strain as he tries to hold himself together for Lucy's sake, but things are getting worse now. The hints Sharon has been leaving behind make Daniel appear guilty, but Summer is aware of her brother's true nature.
Summer will never believe Daniel is able to lie directly to Lucy and cause Heather's horrific end. Summer may come to the conclusion that someone set Daniel up after realizing there must be another explanation.
Chance may encourage Summer to leave matters to the experts and remain out of his research, even if she may want to assist him. But if the police continue on accusing Daniel of a crime he didn't commit, Summer might not back down. This might prompt Summer to look into things more, but it might also lead to problems in other ways.
To begin with, Chance would not be pleased with Summer talking behind his back in this way. This is particularly true if Summer tries to play Nancy Drew by snooping around and viewing confidential police information. If you can't get information out of your boyfriend who works as a cop, what use is he?
Sharon's Role in the Frame-Up
Sooner or later, Summer might as well commit a betrayal or two and take advantage of Chance's intelligence. Naturally, if Summer manages to solve the case, she could find herself in even greater difficulty. Summer may discover that Sharon is the one behind Daniel's deception, but what would happen then?
Somewhere down the road, Summer might bust Sharon and end up in serious trouble. Sharon has demonstrated that she is a dangerous person who will do whatever it takes to keep her secrets hidden.
Stated differently, Summer should avoid becoming involved with Sharon because, given her current mental state, she is downright dangerous and could end up harmed or kept prisoner.
As this plot thickens, Sharon will become even more erratic in her conduct; follow along for updates on any unsettling information regarding Summer.

Summer is annoying just like her mother.. they both think they know everything and once they get an idea in their head there’s no stopping them! At least Summer isn’t running around trying to take Kyle’s kid from him anymore.. I guess she’s decided that he’s fine where he is.. granted Kyle is going off the rails lately , he actually at least has the sense to have Harrison taken care of by a nanny and his family instead of the kid living with Summer in a hotel! Where is Tara? She needs to get paroled from prison and come straighten Kyle out! Maybe she could change his destructive behavior ! He’s a brat.. Sumner needs to leave the detective work to the cops. Although Chance isn’t exactly the brightest cop on the force .. he’s not a good investigator .. he just gets lucky… I’m sure Phyllis and Sumner will solve the case..I would love to see a blow out between Sharon and Phyllis., all the years of animosity between them? That would be a good fight !
