Maine has a homeless issue because taxpayers keep writing blank checks to solve homelessness. The more money dumped into homelessness, the more the problem grows. Govt doesn't know how to fix problems, only how to make them worse, requiring more govt to solve said problem, making it worse. You could solve homelessness, but the bleeding heart liberals don't want to hear that the money spigot needs to be turned off.
