Viral clip shows dog atop the Pyramid of Giza

A man paragliding over Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza found himself capturing a see-it-to-believe-it moment, capturing a dog at the top of the ancient structure.

The footage of the moment was shared on social media and has quickly gone viral. It shows Marshall Mosher soaring through the desert on his paraglider when he zoomed in on the top of the pyramid and found a dog just hanging out barking.

“A dog climbed all the way up the Great Pyramid of Giza!” Mosher wrote in a post on Instagram .

Some of those in the comments joked that it wasn’t actually a dog, but instead Anubis, the Egyptian god of the underworld who is portrayed with a canine head.

Other commenters made jokes, including some who said if he peed on top of the pyramid, it now belonged to him.

“None of his friends are gonna believe him,” one commenter wrote.

While many were concerned about the dog and what appeared to be it barking in distress, Mosher posted a follow-up video that showed him on the ground with the dog, adding more context.

The post shows Mosher and the dog, along with one of his sniffing companions, standing in front of the pyramids. Mosher explained that the dogs live in the area and frequently climb the 454-foot wonder of the ancient world.
