Homer Fire was originally called, but was canceled.</p><p>During an investigation into the cause of the accident, State Police determined the driver of the vehicle, 44 year old Michael D. Seamon of Tully, failed to navigate a curve on I81 and hit a guardrail as a result. </p><p>As a Trooper was interviewing Seamon, they noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his breath along with other signs of impairment by alcohol. State Police arrested Seamon as a result. During a search of his vehicle, Troopers also found a loaded handgun in the vehicle and learned Seamons driver’s license was revoked.</p><p>Seamon was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st, both Felonies, and Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor. He was processed at SP Homer and transported to the Cortland County Jail for Centralized Arraignment. </p></div></body>
