Michael Moore Blasts Kamala Harris’s ‘Lack of Action’ on Israel, Warns Her She Could Lose Michigan and the Race

Filmmaker Michael Moore warned Vice President Kamala Harris this week that she may lose Michigan and, therefore, the presidential race.

In a Wednesday Substack post , Moore wrote a plea with Harris to fully embrace an immediate ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war and demand the return of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, as well as an end to the United States military aid to Israel. Moore argued there is a perceived “lack of action” and “lack of a plan” from Harris.

“Vice President Harris: Your perceived silence and lack of action, your lack of a plan, your continued repetition of the party line — ‘We are close to a ceasefire!’ — as if it’s just around the corner when we all know (because we all know Bibi) that that is not going to happen — rings hollow, and it has cost you an active base of support in Michigan,” the filmmaker wrote.

Moore noted that President Joe Biden’s Arab American support has crumbled since the 2020 election amid the ongoing war. Moore previously helped organize a protest movement in Michigan that saw more than 100,000 voted “uncommitted” in the state Democratic Party primary while Biden was still running for reelection.

“The bad news is that it seems the vast majority of Arab voters in Michigan are either going to stay home or they will show up to vote but leave the ‘president’ line blank. Some will vote 3rd party. As Michelle Goldberg wrote in The New York Times , ‘Lose Michigan, Lose the White House,'” he wrote.

Moore claimed Democrats in Michigan are lacking “enthusiasm” for Harris over Israel and they have “serious concerns” about her chances against former President Donald Trump .

“Many are still going to vote for you, but that vote now lacks enthusiasm — and some supporters are not out there aggressively getting out the vote,” he wrote. “They are dispirited, and they are demoralized by Trump barnstorming the state like a steamroller who, unlike our side, is not afraid to state clearly what he intends to do ‘on Day One.'”

Moore has been calling for Harris to avoid a “move to the center,” arguing she should embrace her progressive “base” to win the election.

“This, too, could reduce or depress the vote for Harris, especially among the base,” he wrote in a recent Substack post. I know many of you don’t want to hear that, but I’m just trying to warn you that the actions of party hacks and pundits have consequences.
