Rico Wade’s Mother Passes Away Months After Producer's Death

Beatrice Wade, the mother of the late hitmaker Rico Wade , has passed away.

Ms. Wade was a beloved figure among artists in the Dungeon Family. She met most of them after her son Rico transformed her basement into his studio a.k.a "The Dungeon" in the early '90s. Her home became the birthplace of iconic rap groups like Organized Noize , OutKast and more. On Wednesday night, October 16, Big Boi and CeeLo Green took to Instagram to pay homage to their late friend's mom after her passing. Both artists posted a photo of her standing outside of "The Dungeon."

"RIP Mama Wade 💔 #RicoWadeForever," Big Boi wrote.

"#rip #moma wade from the entire @dungeon_family prayers to everyone affected 🙏🏾 #thankyou so very much #love," CeeLo wrote .

Beatrice Wade's death comes several months after her son Rico passed away. A representative for the Wade family confirmed the producer passed away in April after he suffered from heart failure at a hospital in Atlanta. He was 52. Dungeon Family members like Killer Mike, Sleepy Brown, Andre 3000 and others took to social media to honor his legacy.

"I don't have the words to express my deep and profound sense of loss," Mike wrote. "I am Praying for your wife and Children. I am praying for the Wade family. I am praying for us all. This is a part of the journey. You told me 'It ain't been hard throughout the journey, it's been a Journey' . The journey ain't gonna be the Same Journey without U. Like U say tho Umma "Stay Down on it"......we all are."

His cousin Future also paid homage to Wade in his own way. He recently released his new project MIXTAPE PLUTO . He used an image of Ms. Wade's home for the album cover and a recreation of "The Dungeon" for the tracklist. Hours before the project dropped, Pluto posted his uplifting tribute to Wade.

"My cousin never died in my eyes. Rico Wade, you already know what u mean to me!" Future wrote in a post on X. "I Thank the most high for blessin me with the greatest human being that it could Ever b! Billionaire status buz 👀 over us 🦅🐍"
