"It Is Too Painful To Even Write This": Here's A Roundup Of Celebrity Reactions To Liam Payne's Death

On Wednesday, news broke that former One Direction member Liam Payne was found dead in Argentina.

According to ABC and the Associated Press , the musician fell from the third floor of a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on Wednesday evening local time. He was 31 years old and leaves a 7-year-old son named Bear, whom he shares with his ex, Cheryl.

Transcripts from the calls, which were translated and obtained by the BBC , suggest that hotel staff were concerned about “a guest who has had too many drugs and alcohol.”
According to People , police are continuing to investigate the exact cause of his death, and an autopsy will be performed.

This morning, Liam's family said in a statement that they're "heartbroken" and will remember him "for his kind, funny and brave soul."

In a statement shared to the band's official Instagram page, Niall, Harry, Zayn, and Louis said they are "completely devastated" by the loss of their former bandmate and "brother."

"But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever."
