Zebulon Police seek missing person in Weavers Pond Neighborhood

The Zebulon Police Department is currently engaging in a missing person search in and around the Weaver’s Pond neighborhood in Zebulon to locate Kareem Shabazz .

Shabazz was last seen Oct. 15, around 2 p.m. doing car detailing work in the Weaver’s Pond townhomes. He left on foot and it is not known which direction or where he was walking to at this time.

Shabazz is 6’1” and weighs approximately 205 pounds. He was last seen wearing a shirt similar to the photo shown, but with short sleeves. Shabazz’s phone has not been able to be reached since Tuesday. Shabazz is a Raleigh resident and was only in Zebulon on Tuesday for work.

The Zebulon Police Department began the search on Wednesday and is continuing their efforts today. They have enlisted the help of Knightdale and Wendell Police Departments to assist with the search.

The Zebulon Police Department is asking residents in the area to review home video surveillance, in hopes of catching a sighting of Shabazz since Tuesday afternoon. If you have any information that could further the investigation, please call 911 and ask to speak with a Zebulon police officer.
