Fast-casual favorite Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® is continuing its international expansion by bringing its signature steakburgers and frozen custard to Winnipeg, Manitoba. The move is part of a three-location development agreement with local franchisee John Hall and operating partner Turner Ethans of Steakburger North. The first Winnipeg restaurant is slated to open in 2025, with additional locations planned over the next three years.

This expansion marks Freddy’s third development agreement in Canada, as the brand continues to grow its presence across North America. "Winnipeg is a great market that will be a wonderful match for the Freddy’s brand," said Andrew Thengvall, Chief Development Officer.

Freddy's currently operates over 530 locations across the U.S., with more than 130 additional locations planned for 2025 and 2026.

Really? Kansas born? We had one about a half mile from us when I lived in Texas. Wichita does have a Curchs fried chicken. They’re good. Wish Kansas had a Babe’s, their fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Alas, they are only in Texas.
