That is because an insect that is known as an invasive species has been found in Colorado and the city of Fort Collins is letting residents know that these gross little guys are a problem.</p><p>We all know that grasshoppers are a major problem in the summer, but this bug could potentially be a problem year-round.</p><h2>Emerald Ash Borer Spotted in Northern Colorado</h2><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=1vm1Qd_0wAtS4pJ00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1vm1Qd_0wAtS4pJ00" width="1600" height="1067" ><figcaption>Youtube Screenshot Andrew The Arborist</figcaption></figure><p>Despite their weirdly elegant name, the emerald ash borer is an incredibly invasive insect and their destructive tendencies are a big reason why city officials in Fort Collins are worried.</p><p>The city of Fort Collins says that the emerald ash borer was been spotted within city limits and they are taking measures to eliminate the species.</p><p>The emerald ash borer will take out more than your plants and garden. This insect has no problem laying their eggs in tree bark.
