I believe it was the great Kevin Costner that once said, "If you put a minivan on stilts, the deer will come." Maybe I got that quote a little wrong? I had to rework it a bit so that it fit with this hilarious video from 2020. It might be an oldie at this point, but that doesn't mean it isn't a goodie. This is peak redneck ingenuity right here, and it deserves another look. Some deer hunters like to rough it and use climbing stands, or just your regular run-of-the-mill tree stands. Others like to build magnificent structures to hunt out of, or put up pre-manufactured ones that have room for heaters and mini-fridges and office chairs. Then you've got what I like to call the "Creative Deer Hunters." Basically, these people will look around at objects and say, "How can I raise that up about 10 feet and hunt out of it?" I've seen first hand a man turn an abandoned porta-potty into a deer stand. Some people have a screw or two loose, and those people know how to craft a unique deer stand. But the one in the video might take the cake for coolest, craziest, most outrageous deer stand the world has ever seen. They took the two worst enemies a deer has - hunters and fast moving vehicles - and combined them into a minivan tree stand. It's absolutely absurd, but it's remarkably beautiful.
