The award watch list was unveiled today by the Maxwell Football Club.Reid (Miami Gardens, Fla./Miramar) has been one of the driving forces behind Pitt's first 6-0 start in 42 years. Western Carolina transfer, he leads the team in rushing yards (494), all-purpose yards (913), receiving touchdowns (tied with four) and total touchdowns (eight). Additionally, Reid ranks second nationally in all-purpose yards (ACC-best 182.6 per game).Reid has produced multiple firsts for the Panthers this season, including a tally of 100 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game (at Cincinnati) and catching 11 passes for 155 yards at North Carolina, the most by a running back in program history. In Pitt's 17-15 win over Cal last week, he ran for both Pitt touchdowns—including a career-long 72-yard sprint—and netted 120 yards on 16 carries (7.5 avg.).Reid, who was also named a Midseason All-American by The Athletic, is one of 17 candidates for the award.
