Will the Dallas Cowboys end up making any trades ahead of the trade deadline?

It certainly wouldn't be too shocking.

Dallas has a few weeks to make decisions as the National Football League trade deadline will pass on Nov. 5. The Cowboys have some players that could be of interest to other teams, and Fox16.com's Koby Skillern floated tight end Luke Schoonmaker as a hypothetical trade candidate.

"The Cowboys typically don't like to give up on their draft picks, but there’s little need for Luke Schoonmaker given the current roster," Skillern said. "Unless the team decides to move on from Jake Ferguson, they wouldn’t really miss Schoonmaker.

"As a former second-round pick with promising talent, he could be an ideal candidate to place on the trade block. Schoonmaker holds value, but it’s value that the Cowboys don’t necessarily need right now, making him a potential asset in a trade for draft picks or more immediate needs."

Schoonmaker was selected in the second round of the 2023 National Football League draft and has racked up just 16 receptions in 23 total games with Dallas. He is in the second year of his four-year, $6.2 million rookie deal .

Jake Ferguson is the team's starting tight end and sees most of the work at tight end. If the Cowboys want to recoup a draft pick, the former second-round draft pick could be worth deal.
