In August, Rory Feek’s oldest daughters, Heidi and Hopie, publicly stated their plans to take legal action against their father to protect their younger sister, Indiana. They alleged that Feek wouldn’t allow them to communicate with their ten-year-old sister and that they were worried about her well-being. Their father’s connection with a group called Homestead Heritage which has a checkered past was the root of their concerns. Their announcement of intentions to take legal action sparked a public back-and-forth between the Feek sisters and their father. Now, it seems fans are getting involved.

When Heidi posted about her issues with her father, many commenters took his side. However, that’s to be expected online. Recently, though, things got a little more personal when a supposed former follower and fan of her band Firekid sent her a postcard. Feek shared the postcard and a response to the sender on her Instagram stories.

“Ms. Feek,” the card’s message began. “You don’t get to tell your father how to live his life or how to raise Indiana. Shame on you!! Call him. Have an adult conversation. ‘Apologize’ for the chaos you caused,” the sender wrote. “You should be ashamed and embarrassed,” they concluded. The sender signed the card, “Sincerely, your former Firekid follower.”

“If u don’t like me, just unfollow me. Don’t mail this to my home like a psycho,” Feek wrote in a text bubble on the photo. “Also,” she added, “a Firekid fan would never. We all know who’s fan you are.”

A Look at the Ongoing Dispute Between Heidi, Hopie, and Rory Feek

In August, Heidi and Hopie Feek announced their intention to seek legal action against Rory Feek. They stated, “We no longer believe Indiana is safe under our father’s care, and her well-being remains our top priority.” Additionally, Heidi shared stories of childhood neglect and abuse at the hands of her father.

In response, Rory Feek wrote a lengthy blog post calling his daughters’ actions “hateful” and admonishing them for taking their family issues public. He spent the bulk of the post refuting their allegations and claiming that his youngest daughter was being well taken care of.

The Feek sisters then took to social media to respond to the blog post with a series of screenshots and voice recordings of their father.

Next, Feek wrote another blog post about being “canceled” and shared that he tried to visit Heidi at her home but she refused to answer the door for him without a mediator present.
