Liam Payne's former flame Aliana Mawla says she will 'forever love' star in tribute after his death

After Liam Payne died from a fall off a third floor balcony , his former love interest took to social media with her reaction.

Aliana Mawla and Liam were linked in 2022, shortly after the star split from Maya Henry. She recently posted two throwback pictures of herself with the One Direction star to her Instagram stroy. "i'm sorrythis happened to you .. will forever love & miss you," she wrote. "rest in paradise."

The pair first met in 2018 while filming a music video for his song, Familiar, with J Balvin . Their fling didn't last long as the reps confirmed that they split up without confirming what terms they ended on.

Liam died in Argentina after acting erratically in a hotel lobby, even smashing his laptop. He was then carried to his hotel room which was reportedly destroyed. Authorities arrived to the scene after a 9-1-1 call expressed concern for both his safety and his rage through the room. He then fell from the third floor and, according to the autopsy, died from "internal and external haemorrhaging."

Police confirmed the status of his hotel room, noting they found it in "total disorder" with parts of the room broken. "The balcony area was inspected in order to establish access to it," they noted. The incident is still under investigation as the police search for two women who were allegedly with the star just ahead of his death.

His family issued a statement today, saying: "We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time."

Prior to linking with Aliana, Liam dated Maya Henry who recently planned to lawyer up against the star after he allegedly was persistent in contacting him following their relationship.

On TikTok, Maya said: "Ever since we broke up he messages me, will blow up my phone, not only from his phone, it's always from different phone numbers too, so I never know where it's gonna come from. He'll create new iCloud accounts to message me - it's always a new damn iCloud account. Every time I see one pop up on my phone I'm like, 'here we f---ing go again.'"

Liam was known for his time in the UK boyband One Direction which was formed in 2010. They rose to incredible heights through multiple world tours and released five albums before embarking on a "hiatus" in 2016. One Direction was formed by the judges of the X-Factor UK after they all auditioned as solo acts. The pop group was comprised of Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan.
