Caleb Williams just keeps getting better. Week in and week out, the stats, metrics and eye test confirm his improvement. His four-touchdown day against the Jacksonville Jaguars further cemented that in the eyes of the NFL as he earned FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week honors.

Williams threw four touchdown passes on the day, leading the Bears to a 35-16 win over the Jaguars in London. He connected twice with Special Teams Player of the Week , tight end Cole Kmet, and twice with wide receiver Keenan Allen, including this dot on third-and-goal from the Jaguars nine-yard line.

The rookie quarterback routinely operated in structure, marching the team up and down the field after a couple of three-and-outs to start the game. The offense was so effective that rookie punter Tory Taylor didn't have to kick after the team's first two drives in the opening quarter.

Overall, Williams went 23-29 (a whopping 79.3%), throwing for 226 yards while adding another 56 on the ground. Of his four carries, three went for first downs during key touchdown drives. And while Williams was sacked three times, he only lost five total yards.

Though Williams was named the Air & Ground Player of the Week, he didn’t capture the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award. That honor went to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Daniels was 24/35 (69%) for 269 yards with two passing touchdowns and 22 yards on the ground. He was sacked three times for a loss of 16 yards.

On paper, it doesn't make sense until you realize it's a fan-voted award. What's going on Bears fans? Vote early and often (there are no limits in voting) people!

Either way, weekly honors will likely be commonplace in Williams’ career. The future definitely looks bright in Chicago.
