SEC championship and College Football Playoff implications are on the line this Saturday as the No. 1 Texas Longhorns (6-0) welcome the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1) to Austin, Texas.

This will be the first matchup between Steve Sarkisian and Kirby Smart, two of college football's top coaches.

Texas is coming off an extremely hot start to the season, thanks in part to a lethal offense behind the arm of Quinn Ewers. On the other hand, Georgia and star quarterback Carson Beck provide the toughest test yet for the No. 1 Longhorns defense.

Adding to the anticipation for Saturday night, ESPN's "College GameDay" will be on site at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium ahead of the game. PGA Tour star Scottie Scheffler, a Texas graduate, will join the crew as the celebrity guest picker.

Scheffler is the world's No. 1 golfer, according to the Official World Golf Ranking . The Dallas, Texas, resident reached stardom in 2022 by winning The Masters Tournament.

Scheffler, who played at Texas from 2014-18, put together an incredible 2024 season, winning his second Masters and securing the Fed Ex Cup. He also earned a gold medal for the United States at the Paris Olympics.

While Scheffler's accomplishments are well known, college football fans are poking some fun at an incident that landed Scheffler in jail this spring.

Scheffler made headlines in May while participating in the 2024 PGA Championship at Vahalla Gold Club in Louisville, Kentucky.  After carding a 67 in the first round, Scheffler was arrested the following morning while he was attempting to gain entrance into the golf club for the second round.

"Keep the police away from him," one fan joked on X.

A fatal accident had occurred earlier that morning, which resulted in traffic issues and a heavy police presence. Scheffler's attempt to gain entrance was thwarted by police, who reportedly asked him to stop.

An officer attached himself to Scheffler's PGA-marked vehicle as Scheffler continued to move. He was ultimately arrested for second-degree assault of a police officer and three misdemeanors.

"Please stage an arrest of him," one fan quipped .

After spending a short time in jail, Scheffler returned to the PGA Championship for the second round and went on to finish eighth in the event. He later revealed that the situation was a big misunderstanding. The charges were dropped two weeks later.

Georgia is also taking some flak for the similarities between Scheffler's arrest and UGA players' repeated driving related arrests.

"LOVE THIS SO MUCH," another responded . "Scottie Scheffler being the guest picker for his alma mater vs. the team that has had issues with driving incidents is amazing."

Scheffler's mugshot went viral in the spring after the incident. It's safe to assume there may be some fans in Austin sporting a similar look.

"I truly cannot wait for Pat McAfee to rip his suit off so that he can sport this shirt on the GameDay set with Scottie Scheffler sitting right next to him," a fan wrote .

"College GameDay" will air from 9 a.m. to Noon ET on ESPN. Texas-Georgia is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).
