The Buffalo Bills may have made a blockbuster trade before the end of the league's trade deadline, but that doesn't mean they are done just yet.

In fact, they simply can't be done if they want to be seen as true contenders in the AFC.

You see, Buffalo's acquisition of Pro Bowl Amari Cooper only solves some of the team's concerns to this point. After all, while Buffalo was in need of a top wide receiver, the organization has other needs to deal with.

Like at safety, linebacker, and even along the defensive line.

There will be many linebackers and safeties available at this point. Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker could be available at the rice price. Other available players, like free agent linebacker Devin White, do not need to be given draft capital.

Many NFL analysts believed that the Bills entered the 2024 season with lesser expectations despite winning the AFC East in the last four seasons. Due to their hot start, though, Buffalo has tried to find cheaper options that will still get them to where they need to go.

Cooper was just the first part of the equation.

Now, the Bills need to go big-game hunting if they want to keep pace in the AFC.

And that appears to be happening even now.
