Conference crown at stake Saturday on Game of the Week

LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – This Saturday, the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference title is up for grabs as United tries to secure at least a share of the championship while Valley Christian looks to hand the Golden Eagles their first loss of the season (in league play) and to stay alive for the conference crown.

-United defeated Wellsville 57-27 this past Friday to improve to 7-1.

-Over the past five years (2020-24), the Golden Eagles have posted an overall record of 41-11 (78.8%).

-Valley Christian has won each of their three home games this year by averaging 45 points per game against Lisbon, East Palestine and Leetonia.

-Since opening the year with a 36-16 loss to Malvern, the Eagles had won their previous six games before falling at Southern 31-14 .

-Valley Christian Coach Andy Hake has put together a winning percentage of 67.5% (27-13) since he took over the program in 2021.
