California Lottery Ticket Holder Wins $562,699 as Nation Awaits Powerball Jackpot

The upcoming $437 million Powerball drawing is quickly approaching but, a lucky ticket holder in California has already secured a prize of $562,699.

According to the California Lottery’s website, the winning ticket was sold at Quality Market on Main Street in Newcastle, approximately 30 miles from Sacramento. This announcement comes on the heels of Powerball’s recent drawing for a top prize of $408 million, for which no winning numbers were reported.

The winning numbers from the October 16 drawing were 4, 30, 39, 44, and 60, with a Powerball of 11. The next drawing for the $437 million jackpot is scheduled for Saturday, October 19.
