New Format: This year, Winter Beer Fest is going token-free. That means you’ll get as many samples as you like. No more fumbling through your pockets to find that precious last token. This year, the City of Seattle changed the way it managed reservations at that location and switched to a lottery system. The Washington Brewers Guild did not win the lottery so it needed to find a new location for the event. This year the event will take place at Victory Hall at The Boxyard, right across the street from T-Mobile Park, in the building that was formerly the long-time home of Pyramid Brewing (1201 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134). The new location provides some advantages. Most significantly, it is centrally located with easy freeway access and easy access to public transportation, including a Link Light Rail station just a few blocks away. There was something quaint about the historic Hangar 30, but Victory Hall is new and, comparatively, it’s kind of fancy. sponsorsponsorsponsorsponsorsponsorsponsorNew Dates: This year, Winter Beer Fest takes place on Friday and Saturday, December 20th and 21st. There will be just one session per day: a Friday night session and a Saturday afternoon session. With just two sessions, early access to tickets is even more important. The Washington Brewers Guild promises some other exciting changes to the event, but one thing is not changing: the participating breweries are going to pull out all the stops and create some amazing beers for this event.
