The new store is owned and operated by The Wellsville Group, which owns seven additional stores in the surrounding region. The Batavia store will employ approximately 20 people. Ashley, the largest furniture store brand in North America and one of the world’s best-selling home furnishings brands has more than 1,100 locations worldwide. “We are thrilled to welcome another Ashley store to The Wellsville Group,” said David Quinn, managing partner. “We have strong roots in the area and are so happy to bring this new retail location to the community. We are looking forward to serving local guests in a newly designed store, which features the latest furniture store concept and a state-of-the-art sleep shop, all with varied selections that are exceptional values.” The showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes featuring lighting, rugs and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses, and accessories. Technology enhances the environment, incorporating various elements to improve the customer shopping experience. During the ceremony, The Wellsville Group presented a donation of $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Genesee County.
