<div>The City of Oceanside is seeking nominees for the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award. This annual award honors individuals who have made a significant contribution of time and energy through volunteer work to improve Oceanside and enhance lives.The award began 35 years ago, and is named in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in recognition of his contributions to civil rights, equal education, labor and voter rights, and to promote positive relationships between people, groups, and cultures.Any resident of the City of Oceanside or Camp Pendleton may be nominated for the award. There are no restrictions as to race, ethnicity, age, or type of volunteer service.Nomination forms are available on the City website. The deadline to return nomination forms is 5:00 PM, November 15, 2024.
