Police: 1 person airlifted to hospital after Elmont crash

Nassau County police say a car crash happened on Carnegie Avenue in Elmont on Thursday at 4:30 p.m., and one car was involved. According to detectives, a 20-year-old man driving a Honda struck two parked cars and a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn. Police say the driver suffered multiple trauma injuries but is now listed in stable condition. Police have not released the driver’s name. No one else was injured.
