Calls Mount For NFL Coach's Firing After Thursday Night Football Performance

The New Orleans Saints are in danger of dropping their fifth consecutive game as they trail the Denver Broncos 26-3 heading into the fourth quarter of their "Thursday Night Football" matchup against the Denver Broncos.

The offense is completely stagnant led by rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler, failing to put together any meaningful success through the first three quarters. The defense didn't hold up its end of the bargain either, allowing Bo Nix and the visiting Broncos to march up and down the field.

Saints fans have seemingly reached their wits end when it comes to third-year head coach Dennis Allen.

Countless New Orleans supporters took to social media to call for Allen's firing on Thursday night.

"If this team gets blown out by Bo Nix and the Broncos, don’t even have a postgame press conference. Just release a statement that Dennis Allen has been fired," one wrote.

"Dennis Allen needs to be fired. That’s the tweet," another said.

"Theres no point of having Dennis Allen as a head coach if the defense is going to be bad, "another added.

"This better be Dennis Allen’s last game coaching this team," another wrote.

To make matters worse for Allen and the Saints, tonight's beatdown is coming at the hands of longtime New Orleans head coach Sean Payton. Allen took over as Payton's replacement as he entered his one-year retirement from coaching.

Allen is 18-22 since taking over as the Saints' head coach in 2022.
