Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick is known for his honest approach to coaching, especially when faced with difficult questions about his new role.

Recently, according to Shane Young of Forbes, Redick was asked if he was worried about taking on a head coaching job in the NBA, considering the high turnover rate of coaches in the league.

Redick responded without hesitation saying , "Yeah, that didn’t resonate at all. I’ll probably get fired one day. Chances are. I hope not."

Despite the uncertainty surrounding coaching positions, Redick is focused on building a winning team. He is aware that coaching is a challenging profession that involves navigating both wins and losses.

The Lakers recently faced the Golden State Warriors in their final preseason game, and although they lost, JJ Redick maintained a positive outlook on the team’s performance.

Redick noted that the Lakers had some mistakes during the game but emphasized that they created good shooting opportunities and made progress in their offensive execution.

“I was highly encouraged by the shots we got,” Redick stated , according to Spectrum SportsNet.

Redick also expressed optimism about the team's growth, mentioning that mistakes are a part of the learning process: "Our execution, ball movement, passing—all of that was great in the first half, but we just didn’t make shots. It’s human nature."
