The Pirates finished off their season 1-4-1 against the DIV teams. On Saturday the MaxPrep top ranked DIV Boys Soccer team Liberty Benton came to Continental for a non league game. It was all Eagles as the Pirates struggled to get off shots while the Eagles controlled the action. The Eagles put in 4 goals in the first half most of them coming from well placed crossing passes. The Eagles held the Pirates scoreless the first half. The second half had the Eagles double their score with 4 more goals but the Pirates got on the board with 14:15 left when Rhettik Bowers took a pass and dribbled between a pair of Eagle defenders and put a shot around the goalie that hit the back of the net. Eagles 8-1.Rhettik Bowers scored and unassisted goal for the Pirates.Jayden Pitney took the loss in goal for the Pirates and had 10 saves. The Eagles had a 18-2 advantage of shots on goal and a 5-2 lead on corner kicks.The Pirates fall to 8-7-2 and will host New Knoxville on Saturday in a OHSAA DV Kalida District Sectional Semifinal. Liberty Benton improves to 16-1.The game marked the last regular season game for Pirates Seniors Bain Stegbauer and Collin Davis. Thanks Seniors for a great season this year.</div></body>
