ESPN college football analyst Rece Davis hosted the " Colege GameDay Podcast " on Thursday, reviewing the Week 8 slate with Pete Thamel and Steve Coughlin.

The three members of the podcast gave detailed insight into some of the week's biggest games, including No. 1 Texas versus No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 Alabama versus No. 11 Tennessee and No. 6 Miami versus Louisville.

While the crew revealed their predictions for the Week 8 slate, Davis picked two upsets that could shake up the college football world.

Davis believes the Bulldogs will defeat the Longhorns, despite being 5-point underdogs and the Volunteers will overtake the Crimson Tide as 3-point underdogs .

Davis believes Georgia quarterback Carson Beck will be the difference maker in the Top 5 matchup against Texas.

Beck, who's playing in his second season as the Bulldogs starter, has produced 15 touchdowns and 1,818 yards with a 67.9 completion percentage.

His best game this season came in Week 2 against Tennesse Tech, where he recorded five touchdowns and 242 yards with a 72.0 completion percentage.

Beck has yet to perform at an extremely high level against an SEC opponent, throwing three inceptions against Alabama and two against Mississippi State, but Davis believes Week 8 will be his time to shine.

"You're telling me you're looking for a Carson Beck signature game," Davis said. "You're waiting on it. Well, you know where you're going to see it? Saturday night in Austin, Texas... I'm taking the dogs."

While detailing his selection to go with the Volunteers to defeat the Crimson Tide, Davis explained that pressure will be a factor in the game.

He didn't give much detail on offensive or defensive schemes but mentioned that this is a "must-win" game for the Volunteers.

Tennessee's best win this season came against the No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners, while Alabama defeated the No. 2 Bulldogs.

Both teams head into the game with a 5-1 record. The Volunteers previously fell to Arkansas, while Alabama took a loss against Vanderbilt.

"This is a game that Tennessee needs to win if they want to stay in the playoff picture," Davis said. "Tennessee's going to be in trouble if they lose because all they have staring at them is the game at Georgia, which will be extraordinarily difficult to win. I'm going to go Tennese to pull out a very close game."
